This traditional Siberian knife was hand-forged in Canada, and is one-of-a kind.
The knife is 8” over all length. The blade is 3" long made with SAE52100 forged high carbon steel. Blade thickness is 5mm and it is exceptionally sharp. Notice that one side is flat and has a small groove (fuller). The opposite side has a gentle curved shape. So the blade is sharpened asymmetrically, which means only the fuller side needs to be sharpened. Because of this unique forging, these blades are made either for right hand or left hand use only. This is a right-handed blade.
The second photo shows the components of the handle. To me, this is where the traditional craftsmanship shines in this type of knife. The handle is solidly made and fits well in hand. Last but not least, the sheath is genuine leather with leather belt loop treated with beeswax and natural oils.
This descriptive photo was made by the forger when this knife was offered for sale. After a one-of-a-kind knife is sold, he removes the photos from his site. I was glad to received this from him.
My price is $280, insured and shipped in lower 48 only. I prefer receiving payment by U.S. postal money order.
If interested, I'll look forward to chatting with you by PM.
Thanks for checking out this knife and sheath. ~wiksmo
