Location
England.
The weather broke here. From week's of heat and dry to strong winds and rain showers.
This afternoon dried up but the wind remained and so I pried the 45 out of the cabinet.
Shot one was 25y but I was in strong 40mph gusts.

Shot two was 48 good strides off hand.

Shot three was a defensive move!
I jumped a savage squirrel out of the green wheat. It ran to about 7yards, stopped, turned and bared it's teeth!
I calmed my self and settled that blade on it and squeezed the trigger.
I was moments away from an attack!

I have not shot this muzzleloader for a while but one thing I do know is that it never ever disappoints me.
Will I clean it today? No.
Did I use 4f? You betya.

Whew! I'm sure glad you were able to drop the squirrel before he got you. 😨

Is British 4F the same as our 4FG?

Well done sir. Jolly good show.

Love that little small bore smoothie. Wish I could find one, even if it is a caplock. Any barrel stamps you could show? It looks a lot like an old .45 caplock rifle I have, in pieces, that bears a Pedersoli stamp along with a bunch of others. I don't think it was sold as a Pedersoli gun back then.

It's my favourite despite the lack of flint.
It just boxes above its weight every time, even wing shooting!!

Thanks but really, I did nothing special. The creator provided it all.

Yes sir it is a smooth bore. I generally tip between 5/8oz and 3/4oz of shot on 50-55g of powder.
Ball loads I keep to myself due to some reading the law differently than I!
