Howdy folks, Two Feathers here:

This is something that I never tried before. The price is $90.00 + $10.00 s&h USD$'s

A friend of mine from the Concord, Mass. area purchased a knife from an antiques dealer. The knife was made in 1780. This knife was probably used to cut patches for military muskets of the militiamen at Fort Adams in Rhode Island, just prior to the war of 1812. My buddy sent me pictures; and asked me if I’d try to recreate it? So, on a whim I did. Here are the results. I took every measurement from photos supplied by him off of the documented original. You’ll see in my photographs what the measurements are with the knife next to a tape measure, but I’ll list them anyway.

The knife is 10.25” overall. It has a very sharp 1095 high carbon steel blade that measures 3-7/8” long by 13/16” wide and .077” thick. The blade has a forged patina. It has a generously long, comfortable, antler tine for a handle.

Unfortunately my buddy, who owns the knife, didn’t get a sheath with it. The original sheath was probably lost, destroyed, or rotted from age? So I was left to try and design one on my own. This is what I came up with. The sheath is a Grayish color 4oz. chrome tanned leather. It has a folded 2” belt loop that is hand stitched down with Natural colored artificial sinew. The sheath itself is laced with real leather lace in a spiral pattern. The sheath has a welt to protect the lace from the cutting edge. There is a sort of a Spanish notch in the Choil area of the blade, that was on the original as well.

This sheath is designed to be belt worn, but it could be tied to your shooting bag strap with a leather thong through the belt loop, your choice.

If interested, PM me. I prefer PayPal friends and family, but I will also take postal MO’s. MO’s will add one week for travel time. I ship same day as funds are received. The exceptions are, Federal holidays, Sundays, PO hours, and severe weather.

As always, thanks for looking. I sell/ship to Canada, but all prices are in USD$ to the lower 48 states. Crossing the border or leaving the country increases the shipping price considerably. Contact me for shipping prices outside of the Continental US. All other prices are as stated in USD$

God bless:
