Hello all, messed around with "store bought" rifles for a while but lost interest due mostly because I always hunted by myself, weren't any forums such as this. Just bought a Tennessee Long Rifle in .54 caliber from Track of the Wolf. Built by J. Simmons, I'm excited to get back into shooting this rifle.

Howdy 2 Welcome from East Texas! let see if we cover the whole state !
Samtex, I'm from Vidor, about 22 miles west of Orange. I grew up in the Williamson Settlement, about 7 miles north of Vidor off Highway 105. Been gone 27 years I think. Had to find a place to raise my kids, it was too growed up when I left. I Love East Texas though, had lots of friends and worked on jobs all the way up to St. Augustine. Learned how to work on BP guns in Kirbyville. My brother married a lady from Diboll, and they lived at Pluck and Lufkin. Glad the OP is welcomed by East Texans, Tennesseeans helped Texas become an Independent Republic, and we will never forget their sacrifice at the Alamo.

Hey Tobie, Welcome from Idaho. I shoot a Tennessee Poor Boy, but in 40 Caliber.

I've spent some time in Texas- enjoyed every minute of it.
