Looking for info about the square back trigger guards on the 51 Navy..Were they all silver plated? Or did Colt also sell them with plain brass square back trigger guard?
 
All Navies for civilian sales had silverplated brass (a few were iron) trigger guards and backstraps. The only non-plated brass ones were made for Army contract, and they were the round trigger guard model.
