This is an early Model 1840 Cavalry Saber reproduction. Steel Scabbard. nice patina on brass hand guard and handle, wire wrapped leather grip, an excellent piece for any enthusiast or reenactor. Blade has a nice edge on I so please be careful when handling. I am asking $125 or best offer.

Maddman, I would trade a buffalo powder horn with a stump walnut base plug and carved fiddle peg stopper out of the same Ozark wood. Will throw in a small cow primer horn w/walnut base and plug. I prefer this sword but will make the same offer for your hand and a half sword. I'm not too good with pictures but will send them for your approval if you're interested, George.

Could you post or message a few pictures of them?

Hi, Maddman, I will attempt to use my wife's phone to take pictures this afternoon, and transfer them to our laptop and hence to the forum on this post. I'm not good with pictures, but sometimes it actually works!

Did you get an opportunity to take a few pictures?

Maddman, my wife got the pictures on her phone, but I can' get them on the computer. I' have to wait until my daughter decides to come home to get things sent. She works about 12 hours a day, and has been helping a friend evenings to clean her rent house. It may be a day or two.

If you go on this site from your wife's phone, you should be able to upload straight from the phone itself.

Update: I have three swords in separate ads (as you are aware I'm sure). Any two $130 shipped.

I will be posting this sword for auction on eBay Monday if it hasn't sold. Would rather a forum member have it, but have to thin the herd a bit.
