I'm interested in small game hunting with a muzzleloader. What is out there in .32 caliber ? I would really like to do a kit rifle. Is there anything out there that's not $500 ?

The Traditions Crockett is the least expensive kit, after that all the usual companies can put together a kit for you. I like the Crockett’s for the money.

Just something to think about.
A second hand Traditions or CVA with the smaller (across the flats) octagonal barrel can be found on the cheap if you shop around. Then the barrel, maybe with it's deer hunter pyrodexed bore and red dot sight removed, can be sent to a barrel maker and the parts used to create a drop-in for your otherwise fine and dandy rifle. The barrel can be made with your choice of caliber, bore and groove dimensions, twist, length and exterior contour. Ram rod furniture is something else to discuss with the maker.
That's a path I've gone done in the past with a flinter Traditions Deerhunter with a wooden stock. I'm threatening to do it again with a percussion model. Pro'bly another octagonal to round lightened contour with about a .39" bore for .380 round ball and some pistol bullet molds laying in the fun box. And a tang peep.
The same thing would work for a .32 or .33, (or for 0 or 00 buck if you wanted to buy ball by the bag) the money would be the same and you'd get what you wanted instead of what some marketing director in Italy or Spain thought you should buy.
Anyhow, that's just my way of thinking about it.

The Dixie Cub, a short barreled, lightweight, traditional sidelock (kit) is available right now ON SALE...., from Dixie Gun Works…., in .32. The .36 caliber version will run you two additional C-Notes...,

Rummaging around the hobby room the other day found the .50 barrel off of a flinter Traditions Deerhunter that I'd gotten a smooth bore barrel for. That's a good candidate for a small bore conversion. With a small outside diameter, small bore, medium twist.
