I rescued this shooting bag from a man that said he hadn't used it for 10 years. It smelled musty and the leather was dry. I gave it a treatment of Skidmores Leather Cream and it came back to life. I thought it would make a good bag for my 16ga Smoothbore.

Lobo, nice bag and horn. Where are you from in WV,? I'm from Clarksburg.Been shooting muzzleloaders since 1970, Used to do primitave treks and rendezvous till my health issues wouldn't let me. Still miss it every day. Good luck to ya, Tom B.

Well, Lobo, you did a fine job of rescuing that bag. What is the size and does it have internal pockets?

It's a big bag that's why I choose it as a fowler bag. Dimensions are 12" X 9 3/4". It has a large pocket on the back side of the bag and the lined inside has small pockets on the inside. The buttons on the flap are only decorative and not for securing the flap to the bag.

Tom, I'm from Michigan, born here in 1936, plan to die here in 2036. :D

Man...you got me to thinkin' maybe I should get motivated and clean up a couple of my old bags....or maybe even make me a new one. I have made a bunch of them over the years to give to friends and a few for myself. I'm an old bugger too and don't rendezvous anymore, but I do still hunt and shoot quite a bit.
Very nice looking bag !
