Boy howdy! you guys have some sweet kit. I think the misses might be a bit upset with me when she sees the shopping list you guys have helped inspire. By the looks of it, i have some catching up to do, and in a big way.

I love your whole set-up, but because I'm in the market for one, I'm especially drawn to that bag. It's just beautiful, and right what I'm looking for for one of my rifles. Any help with telling us who made it?

I just finished my elk skin bag

Thanks, but I will have to turn down your offer. Added info: it is machine sewn on an antique upholstery singer treddle machine (1912 Singer 31-15) using 138 nylon thread
made to withstand some abuse. It measures 7 in. tall x 5 in. wide anda 1 in. gusset. The adjustable strap is long enough to fit the largest person. I am also finishing up on a large belt bag. I will post photos of it also.
Thanks again for input

Very sharp-looking equipment, John, especially your dark bag. When I look for one, yours will be a good example.

I don't want to take away from the OP's subject. But what also piqued my interest was your photo of those knives in sheaths (6th photo). I have a special hand-forged knife which I think might be suitable to carry. Not certain as it's from a completely different historical era than my cap & ball pistol, and also of a foreign design. Might this blade hang cool-looking next to a muzzleloader bag? Seems to me to be okay. I've not researched to learn if there are historically accurate knives, which were then used.

Does anybody have a suggested price to put on a bag like this?

Just a reminder - Rule #36 forbids asking "what is it worth?" for self-made products. It's worth hanging onto. ;-)

36: Asking the members to give a fair market value appraisal for an item you own or wish to purchase is permitted. However, no offers to SELL, BUY or TRADE may be made outside of the Classified section of the Forum. Do not post: "I'm selling a gun, what do you think it's worth?" - Use the Classifieds. This applies to "Looking to Buy" also.
