I guess this is technically not a "offer to buy or to sell" which is against the forum rules so I'll let it stay for a while.

Offers to buy or to sell can only be made in the Classified Advertisement area.

(Yah. I know. I'm a grump when it comes to the forum rules but that's what I get paid for. How much do I get paid to moderate this forum? Absolutely nothing.)

Are you looking to use it for a pistol barrel? You need to be mindful of twist in that case. Pistol barrels usually have much faster twist rates than rifle barrels so as to get at least 1/4 turn out of the ball by the time it exits in order to impart some stability to the ball.

While pistol barrels are generally faster twist. A rifle barrel cut off can make a good accurate pistol with heavier charges. A 45 cal pistol with a one in 20 twist will shoot very well with minor charges. 14 to 25 grains. A 45 caliber 1:60 twist can shoot well, but may require 40 grains of powder. the most accurate pistol I ever won matches with was built with a 45 caliber rifle cut off 10 inches long and tc patriot parts in a really ugly two piece glued together stock.

I think I have a chunk of 15/16 barrel. If you still need it, PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
Looking for a 4 - 5" long scrap cut-off from a 7/8" and 15/16" Octagon barrel

I'd be happy to pay for shipping
