This is in response to all you naysayers who think I am out of line --- if you put something up for sale and commit to it then you better deliver -- no matter where you live - a deal's a deal - I live by my word. If he would have responded and said what he was going to do I would not be writing this message or any prior ones on this subject. He was on this forum today at around 3 am - check it out. He could have sent me an email with his plans. The rest of you "buttinskies" should mind your own business - it's not your deal or your money.

That's the thing, did he back out? Coming on the forum and accusing a seller of reneging on a deal is a substantial allegation, especially if you don't know for sure if they have done so. Things like that can damage someone's reputation.

Just because he didn't respond at 3 am , doesn't mean has has backed out. I can think of a long list of reasons someone might not respond at that time of the night.

If he doesn't get back to you in the next 24-48 hours, then you might have a case. Short of that, you just need to learn a tiny amount of patience.

Good luck to you, and him. Hopefully you two can get it worked out.

woof. Not my business nor my dog BUT the post about him reneging on the deal should maybe have also been in a private post? Just sayin.... I myself have gotten so busy twere it mine I would not have given you much better service, I'm bettin, unless he has become disillusioned, that you'll get the ROA. It looks just like mine and you should enjoy, a very good price imho

Not real happy about the negative posts."I will assume that you are reneging on the sale of this Ruger Old Army. I also sent you a personal message 5 minutes ago with this same info."
I have been out in the field, with only a phone. Yes, I did get on this site early one morning while getting a bite to eat but I couldn't get my phone to respond to my post about the pistol or your PM, ZUG. Not real proficient with the smart phone yet on web sites. I work long hours and there are days some times before I get on my computer after working 12 or so hours restoring customers power after storms. Selling items is not a job and it's not how I make any money. Usually get less than I paid, even if I don't keep it but a week. Just moving a few items that I don't need and others express that they are interested in something I might have more than one of.
Yes, I did tell you it was yours and I meant that.

There was another interested party but I don't do PayPal and there again, I couldn't get to his PM on my phone. I apologize for him and all for this mess. I'm sorry if your upset.

ZUG, if you still want this ROA after working me over on this site for everyone to see, it is yours. Like you, I stand by my word, maybe just not as fast as you or early hours. I have been selling and trading many items on other sites for many years and have never reneged on any deal.

Thanks for the others that put in a kind words. This may be the last time I try to move any items on this site. Will just have to
think on it for a while. I will just set back and read the posts.

As I said, if you still want this ROA, I will take a $350.00 money order. If you don't I understand. No hard feelings.
I didn't nothing wrong except do my job I have been working at for 46 years in the Utility Industry.
Send me a PM stating so if you want it and I will reply with the address to ship the money order and you can send me your address and I will get the ROA, nipple wrench and round balls boxed and ready to ship as soon as the money arrives.
Mike

McClura:
A very good and thoughtful response if I do say so myself. :thumb:

From what I've seen on the forum's classified ads, the negative comments are rare but if you decide you don't want to offer your things on the forum, I understand.

Have a good one and take care of yourself. We need people like you to do the work you do and to contribute to the forum. :)

MIKE...BRAVO!

I didn't agree with the buyer burning you up like that on the open forum, but i didn't like others getting involved even MORE!

You're a better man then i could ever be...Gunga Din.

I've got to go walk my dog...

Yup -- me also -- I guess there were a lot of cheap shots going around by all. All this has left a bad taste in my mouth on this Ruger Old Army -- now I have a lot to think about. I have two others one S.S NIB and a older blued one that I shoot would have liked another to fix up like in the last picture--- but ---

Looks like a good deal from a straight up seller. Wish i had the extra money for another old Army... good luck with the sale!

Is this pistol still available ???
Read all the posts and it's still a mystery to me. I am interested if it is ....
Thanks, Gordy

Rifleman1776, you might have read that I stated, "IMHO". And we all have opinions. A ramp front sight can be a handicap if shooting on an uncovered firing line. Blackening the sights would be the proper thing to do in that case. But if you excelled with the ramp sight at paper bullseye targets, more power to you. You can't argue with success.

Participating in the NMLRA national matches from 1987 till 1998, I had a gunsmith change the ramp sight to a Patridge sight and switched out the Ruger rear sight for a Bo-Mar rear sight, as can be seen on both my match-grade "Old Army" .44 cal & "Old Navy" .36 caliber revolvers shown here.IMG_0646.jpg

I'm about to start removing posts from this classified ad.

As I've said before, this is a classified ad. It is not a general topic type post for people to sit around talking about things.

The last acceptable post was by Alice 1885 who asked if the pistol was still for sale. Hopefully it is and Alice 1885 will buy it.

Well I have not heard a word as too this being available for purchase ??? So I am still waiting, I am located in Ohio for your information.
Thanks, Alice 1885
