This is a small/medium engraved horn on a braided strap and a very well made bag that is 7"X 6.5". I bought them separately at the Living History Show in Kalamazoo just recently. They will go good with my Jud Brennan .36 squirrel rifle (Slim Girl) I'm left handed, my gun is LH and my bag & horn is left side carry.

That looks like a great set. I like the color of the leather very much. I hope you get a lot of service from the combination.

I like the color of the leather very much.

That's what drew me to the bag, the leather has a rich color and I liked the size also

Looks good.
I'd replace the strap on the horn with leather and a buckle...

I like it a lot! Very nice!
Here is mine: The brass tool in the short starter holder on bag strap is for my Cock Screw hole tool I made. See bottom picture. The possibles bag is The Leatherman Trapper model with optional red heart and all leather strap, it is 9" X 8". The powder horn is Scott & Cathy Sibley AWI 18th century, Scrimshaw includes date Aug: 1779, Liberty on banner, initials GW on last step of horn, stars, and "Chicken" Eagle, brass red star on end plug.
Powder horn strap is natural hemp, woven and hand sewn leather end and horn straps. I like the white agate, it is easier on my frizzen than the English black flints, sparks just as well, I will use English black for SAR reenactments though. I have been tuning the lock. Frizzen spring is at 3 pounds now, down from 4lbs. 8oz. when I started. De-burred all internals, polished screws, holes, all metal to metal contact areas. Much, much, much slicker now. To my surprise the lock needed a lot of work. The deeper I got into it, the more burrs and misalignments I found. The cock is still at 12 pounds, the main spring gets tuned next. I will take it down to no more than 10 pounds, 9 would we ideal. Oh, I will add a hemp string tie to the powder horn fill/charge spout plug. It's on the way in the mail. Green hemp twine.
I replace the factory 1766 frizzen screw with a 1777 from Dixie, it was about 3/32" longer than the original, but it was perfect for screwing all the way in to bottom the threads. You could not do that with the original screw, and the frizzen cam was riding on threads, and the screw could work it's way tighter, or loser. Not now, it's going to stay put!

Sweet.

Looks good.

And so you are entitled.

I have woven fabric straps on my bag and one horn because they were made for me by nice folks (Swampy, Ed Wilde, Ted Reese and Horner75) and that mean more to me than a plain leather strap ever could - though I use those on horns frequently. I really don't give a damn if it is 100% period correct and no one should have to if that's not what they're after. Sometimes the memories are better than the pretends.

Several of my horns have a leather strap and buckle. I may change this one later but for now I like the color of the strap and how the rig looks together

I love the way it looks too! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The strap is a perfect match for the lighter color of your horn! I really like your spike hawk in th second picture too!

Nice looking set up. A-1.
Please don't take this observation wrong. I'm just curious. I've seen your set up (left handed- left carry) over and over. I'm right handed, left carry. Why? 3/4 lb. of powder on the same side as my lock. Makes me a wee bit nervous to have that powder on the same side, especially if I have to crouch to get off a shot at a whitetail. That crouch may bring the horn less than a foot from the pan. I know. A bit overcautious perhaps. But I sleep better knowing its on my far side.
Once again, great looking setup.

I'm with Stumpkiller. With the horn and pouch on my right side, right handed shooter, my body puts the horn behind me. If my horn is on the left side, the tip of the horn is pointing toward the lock and not blocked by my body.

I would use something better than the twine to secure the strap to that nice horn.
Leather boot lace material would be a better alternative. Get the heaviest you can find. Would be a shame to lose that beautiful in the weeds or leaves in the woods if something broke.
Spring for the better material I mentioned like you did for the rest of that beautiful outfit.
