Good evening everyone. I am posting Decembers target. Download the pdf file I uploaded, that's your target this time! You may color your target as you wish but the original lines MUST b e clearly discernable by me when I get it.

Rules:

Scoring will be as follows:

Shoot 5 shots at the target location of choice, misses count.

The shooting distance for this contest is 25 yards.

Your score is as listed on the target.

No do-over’s.

Only registered forum members may participate.

Only traditional, open iron sighted muzzle loading firearms (NO Cannons). Percussion or flintlock ignition. Cap and Ball revolvers are OK.

Single patched round ball only. No restrictions on caliber. (a patchless ball may be used if so desired)

Shots will be taken off-hand at the stated distance. Standing or seated is allowed, elbows unsupported by anything other than the shooters torso. In the event that a member is not physically able to hold his rifle up unsupported, a "prop-rod" that is supported only by the shooters torso, no part of which prop-rod may touch the ground, may be used to hold up the fore-end of the rifle.

Only original targets will be accepted. No copies, faxes, scans, etc.

The center of the shot and the placement on the target will be determined by the judge.

Judges decisions are final.

Each contestant's score will be posted at the end of the contest.

Your member screen name must be written on your targets.

Mail your target postmarked by December 31st 2018 to:

Shot mine today. It's safe to say the ricochet off the stump that was my backstop, totally destroyed the paper target. Whoopsy.

Thanks for doing the match Adui.

Also, where in the heck did 2018 just go ?

You're welcome sir! I enjoy it! As for 2018; I've been scratching my head the last few days wondering that exact same thing!

Shot my target yesterday. Certainly won't win any prizes. After a couple of misses, I had to lower my expectations a bit to at least get on the score card. Probably mail it out later today.

Merry Christmas to you too Adui. Maybe next year, we'll see if we can't get you a raise for doing these matches.

My target is in the mail. I shot this one with a TC Hawken with a 50 caliber aftermarket barrel. I've been trying to work up a load/patch combo with this barrel and it shot pretty good, but operator error of trying to be greedy limited my success. The barrel still needs a bunch of work and shreds patches terribly but that is not excuse for my target. Still it is fun to get out and do these. Thanks again Adui for doing this.
