What a pretty gun and a fair price. And in my favorite caliber too. Too bad I am gunned out for the time being.

The bore is great. I would like to be able to give all that info. But I don’t know the parts used for a fact. And the old guy that had it built. 35 years ago. Wasn’t sure of it. I did ask all the same questions. I would say being early 80s LR lock and trigger douglas or green river rifle works barrel, green mountain. I can pull lock and check it tonight thanks Rick

Weight is 11 1/2 pounds. Custom built plains rifle. Mountain man rifle I’d say

Right. I figure. It would be a good benching gun for someone. OR. At the damn good price of 695$. Someone would send to Rayle. Or Hoyt. Or other and rebore to 54, 58. Even 62. And really knock shite down. Oh and if you need a horse or mule I can supply ya one of them also

Update info as ask by fishDfly. Pulled lock and barrel. Barrel is a marked Douglas barrel. Lock not marked. Newest guess is a Dixie gun works lock. Maker is marked 2 spots. E.Earnhart.

Oldwolf. Looking down the barrel and comparing to a known barrel of 1/56. I would call it. 1/48. Douglas. Course I’m prolly shooting myself in the foot for that guess Question. Knowing it is Douglas. What did they offer?
