I'm wanting to make a shotgun barrel for my thompson center new englander. I'm having a hard time finding a breech plug for the new englander. Does anyone know if the hawken breech plugs are the same?

no they are not. New Englanders had the snail kinda breech plug area. At one time in the mid 90,s T/C custom shop had shotgun barrels configured in the same snail type barrels except they were made to shoot shot. They come at a premium now. You would be hard pressed to find one now.
