If you are referring to the Schreit rifle it is in Rifles of Colonial America Vol 1. It does not have either a stepped wrist or a wooden trigger guard.

Not sure I have the old picture, but it definitely had a shallow stepped wrist and at one time had a wooden guard. There’s even uncertainty on whether the wooden guard was original. Next it had a brass guard that was of far too late a style. Then finally what we see now.

Poor signal last night

It used to.
I knew that there were pictures of it in Rifles of Colonial America but did not know the history of it till I went on a search this morning. Apparently there have been several changes made to it over the years which kind of makes me wonder if anything about it is real, a lot of unscrupulous people out there. I had the pleasure of meeting one who had several unsigned originals who was trying to get John Schippers to engrave and antique names on them so they would be worth more.
