Hello all! I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. Currently in the process of building my first rifle (indeed the first firearm I will have ever touched, which may surprise some of you) from scratch, a .50 caliber 36 incher.
Here on the west coast it can feel a little difficult at times to connect with people in the muzzleloading world, so I'm hoping I can learn a thing or two through chatting with you folks on the internet. If anyone knows some good west coast muzzleloading vendors, venues, or other fun things, do tell! I will of course make sure to post about that in the proper channels as well.

What a pleasant surprise! I've lived in Friday Harbor for a few months and sailed as far as Sucia. I've loved every moment spent in the San Juans. Where do you go to shoot? Any muzzleloading tips specific to the PNW?

Rain-de-vue is in February, down here. In Monroe is the trade fair in March.

Rondy season is from Oak Harbor to Little Rock.

Lots to do here in the pacific north wet!
