Flintlock1640, looking at this and the Miquelet carbine again, you have gotten an example of both kinds of stock ends for these types of arms. They either have a metal cap, like this one, or the metal ring like the other. Wonderful additions to your collection

I agree that is a great purchase...a great looking carbine! Wheelocks in my selfish opinion are the ultimate in the generations of locks!
