Hey All!

I could really use some help I identifying this half-stock rifle. I've done a ton of research and all I can come up with is that it might be an english hunting rifle, or shotgun. It was my great grandfathers, who brought it to the U.S. from Sweden in the 1900s. My dad took it apart when he was a kid and lost most of the parts. He thinks it had a percussion lock, but his memory isn't what it used to be. My hope is to bring it back to life somewhat, but I can't find a lock that fits it. Here are some other specs that might help:

Halfstock
Shotgun Style Trigger (maybe?)
Smooth bore
Barrel inner diameter at muzzle: 0.61
Barrel Length: 30.5” (From muzzle to breach)
Barrel Segments
  • Octagonal at breach for 6”
  • Round for 3”
  • 1/4” Round Segment
  • 20 3/4” Round until muzzle
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Had a percussion lock , the big hole in the side of the barrel shows that. Probably had just an ordinary lock on it, but the old Swedish and Norwegian rifles might have had anything from an outside mainspring lock to an old military lock. Just a plain simple hunting gun. Look up Swedish or Norwegian rifle for sale in the European auctions, good pictures on there!
