The first pic is the local nursery plants that went in on March 12th that we picked from. The second pic is the ones I planted from seed and went in later.

Drove back home today and was pleased with how much the garden had grown in little over a week. While I’m home I’m going to install a soaker hose that will loop around both sides of the plants and beds. I’ve heard were in for another very hot and very dry summer. We’ll see.

I like the idea of running tubes and adding drip emitters. But not enough to do it. Rather be a gerdner than a plumber.

Mine won’t be anything fancy. I’ve got two 50’ lengths of soaker hose, which I figured would be enough to double loop the beds. Don’t even plan to bury them. As soon as I get the energy today I’ll try putting them out.

I did run the soaker hose(s). Was really no big deal. I’ve already moved them a little since the photos. Will probably move them around some more since I have plenty up around the tomatoes. I thought about burying them a little, but not for now. I’ve used soaker hoses before years ago, I seem to remember burying them and they got clogged up.

27 degrees this morning, no tilling yet as the snow piles still around the driveway.
Couple more weeks before planting anyway.

Green house getting plants this weekend.
Yep. Not ready here either. Was down in the 20's here a few days ago. But no snow thankfully. I'm hoping the second week of May I'll be planted.
