That is an ultra rare Hawkins/Remington/Spiller & Burr revolving rifle muzzle loader!! Their were only 21 & 3/4 made by Sam Hawkins and his cousin Eddie Hawkins (The well known thief and bootlegger). Around the 1790's - 1886. Mostly in .22 caliber but some were 2 bore.
They were not that popular in the Old West. Turns out an Indian could shoot an arrow into the action and the cylinder wouldn't turn or a Grizzly could bite the hammer so it wouldn't shoot.
I have a reference to them some where here. It is written by John Wayne and Samuel Clemens before they were popular. It is rumored that the Sultan of Brunei has the remaining example and uses out to shoot lions in his private preserve.
Honest. I read it on the internet so it has to be true.
