I posted how I restored this rifle from parts . It was in an estate. I was dealing with poor ignition. After looking it over I could see the drum that holds the nipple turned too far left. That could be why it was parted out in the first place. So today with a little heat and a wrench I got it to line up under the hammer. Fires every time now. These things can get you thinking sometimes.
A nice rifle. Now to see if it groups with a 490 round ball .

My money is on a large smile spreading across your glowing countenance as soon as you see the tight groups you will be able to shoot!

I think your right. Just a little tinkering and it seems to be a really nice gun. The bore is in pretty good shape. A little surface rust from long term storage in a closet. Going to polish it some today . I’ll get it out and shoot it tomorrow 😊
