Hi all.
I want to convert my Kentuckian percussion rifle to flintlock. Can't find a new lock to fit so I'm hoping to buy either a flintlock from a parts gun or maybe even an old rifle to use for parts. I've been in contact with Bill at L&R and the folks at Track of the wolf, but they don't have anything to fit. Anyone have one or can connect me with one? It's a Euroarms Kentuckian rifle. Don't know if the pistol flintlock would work, but if so I'm interested. This gun was left to me by my late father-in-law, so it has a lot of sentimental value for me. I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks much

Are your woodworking skills sufficient enough to completely plug the existing lock mortise with hardwood and inlet for a new lock?

Or you could leave it in its sentimental percussion state and not risk buggering it up completely.

Two avenues on this one.

Maybe at one time I would have tried, but my essential tremor says no! Not so sentimental as to modifying to flint.
