Here's something I will include on my matchlock build. Another is a blind hole for snuffing out the burning cord when done shooting. Kinda liking the ball trigger too. This gun shown, stolen/borrowed from someone else's post on here is beautiful.
 
Yes, I too like that feature. Have seen a possible variation in the lower buttstock of an early European m/l as well. I imagine you could hang or wedge your match cord through the hole for readiness/
