I took a few minutes to try to get some photos of the latch setup I did.

    Antiqued 1858 Pietta

I took the original latch and drilled a hole in the other end of the loading lever and inserted the spring and latch in there. I also filed a deep notch along the front of the cylinder pin for the latch to seat into.

    Antiqued 1858 Pietta

I hear what you’re saying. I’m not an aging fanatic either, I just cut the barrel off and rounded the grip frame on my Remington, and I was either blueing the cut areas, or redoing the whole gun. So I decided to redo a different way and looked up ways to get an aged finish. It was about trying...

    Antiqued 1858 Pietta

The Ace is cool, but I wanted the barrel a bit longer and the rounded grip frame. You could round the grip frame on the Ace also if you choose to. You can remove the loading lever and purchase a lever that locks the cylinder pin in place. I believe some of the unmentionable cylinder makers sell...

I like it. Came out great!

    Antiqued 1858 Pietta

I did this to my Remington Sheriff’s model I bought in 2021. I like worn patina look so I mixed cold blue and water and wiped it on and immediately wiped it off a few times. Did the same thing with Laurel mountain forge browning solution. Then rinsed and wiped it down with ballistol. I stripped...

    Solved the percussion cap issue.

Nice job! I like your die! I wish I had a lathe so I could make something similar. I have both of the dies from 22reloader, and I agree the cap skirt is rather ugly, and looking at your end product, the bottom is not nice and flat on the caps I make compared to yours. I set mine up in a drill...

    Pistol for edc?

You could cut down a Remington or buy the Ace. I wouldn’t unload every day. You can cut some plastic hose that would fit over the caps that would help seal them a bit from moisture. I would not use lubricated wads, it can leach into the powder and cause failures over time. I would use 777 and a...

WITHDRAWN Rogers and Spencer Silver in Color

Some stainless is magnetic. For example 416, which is sometimes used in gun manufacturing will attract a magnet.

I have one and mine is stainless steel. I’m not sure if euroarms made any in nickel.

    Making Percussion Caps

I use about 10/1 acetone/duco cement and it works great. I have used the copper you are referring to. It works good, but the edges of the stock are very sharp and can slice you up pretty good, so be careful. I also bought .005 aluminum which works great too. And double up on the aluminum cans...

making #11 caps, what touse as a binder

I mix about 10/1 acetone/duco. Just don’t mix it too thick like 4/1.

    Revolvers with no loading lever

You can take a small block of wood (4” x4”x1” etc…) and drive a nail or bolt through it that the cylinder will fit on. Then use a a piece of wooden dowel or brass rod and hammer to seat the ball over the charge. Cut the nail or bolt so it doesn’t stick up out of the cylinder if you would like...

SOLD Looking for 44cal Revolvers with a shorter barrel (6.5" or less) or snub nose

Why not buy a Remington and cut the barrel and round the grip frame. I can PM a photo of one I did to give you an idea if you would like.
