    I spoke with a guy from Taylors about it once. He said they were graded at the Factory. It's how you spec your order for a high grade to a lower grade specimen that determines a Dixie vs Cimarron gun, and therefore, price.

    JB Weld on oversized wood holes....??

    I prefer using hardwood plugs (over dowels if depth necessitates). They drill straighter and the threads hold better.
