    Barrel Condition

In the ad on this website I referred interested parties to this discussion to see the bore pics and all of these comments - best way to let prospective buyers know all the details. Over 150 views but no offers yet. But I have patience as it’s a very nice rifle. Jeff

    Barrel Condition

I now remember reading somewhere that Automatic Transmission Fluid Type F was recommended to prevent rust. Thought TVM was the source but can’t find it on their website. Anyone know about that idea?

This rifle was purchased new in April 2021 and has been fired only 448 times. The condition is excellent as you can tell from the included photographs with only a few minor handling marks. Serial number DA139442. Price is $600.00 including shipping to the Continental U.S. Check my post from...

    Barrel Condition

I've had a Pedersoli Kentucky flintlock .45 for about two years with 448 shots fired. I thought I was being anal about cleaning same day as shooting and I've use Ballistol, Dawn, hot water, brass brushes, etc. Recently I purchased a bore scope and was a bit shocked by what I saw. Today I used...

Parts for Pierson Ruschetta (PF) 1851 Navy

I have a 40+ year old PF 36 caliber 1851 Navy, still in very good condition but I’d like new nipples and a source for other parts when/if needed (I’ve repaired the hand already). Uberti nipples have the right thread but they’re too long - could file them down but then cap may not fit. Any...

    Contacted Hodgdon regarding cleaning

I only found this one page so I added my comment/question. If there's more "10 pages" I don't see it here.

    Contacted Hodgdon regarding cleaning

I don’t believe any of these posts mention the need to completely disassemble the revolver, in fact it seems at least one shooter only removes the grips (requires some disassembly). I’ve had my 1851 Navy for 40 years and hate taking it apart - I can clean two rifles in the time I spend on this...
