    1861 Navy Frame Stretch?

    Curious as to how long it would take for the brass frame of a 1861 Navy 36 cal. pistol to stretch under normal use with recreational loads?     Traditions Pistol Build Help

    I have everything together on my first pistol build, but it seems that the trigger guard sits too deep into the stock The pistol guard sits over an 1/8 in. into the routed inletting in the stock. Should I just sand that much wood off to make it flush or should I shim it to minimize sanding...
