    Breech plug removal. Jag and cloth stuck in barrel

    I had the same thing last week. In my case I put JB weld on the end of the rod . Stuck into the jag stuck in the bottom of the barrel. I let it sit over night and pulled it out in the morning

    The dovetail is tight. It’s the way the sight is designed. I think I just need a different sight for that dovetail .

    I think your right. Just a little tinkering and it seems to be a really nice gun. The bore is in pretty good shape. A little surface rust from long term storage in a closet. Going to polish it some today . I’ll get it out and shoot it tomorrow 😊

    I posted how I restored this rifle from parts . It was in an estate. I was dealing with poor ignition. After looking it over I could see the drum that holds the nipple turned too far left. That could be why it was parted out in the first place. So today with a little heat and a wrench I got it...
