    TC patriot 45 Good/Bad?

    Thank you for all the replies. I was aware about breaking the pistols at the wrist from loading on a stand. I load my Plains pistols wedged against my hip. I shoot them in the field so I load from the bag. I think I'm going to pass on it and be happy with my pair of plains pistols.

    GPR in .54 vs T/C Hawken with GM barrel

    My favorite caplock is a GPR .50,its is a 1-32 fast twist and shoots under 2" at 50 most of the time with patched ball. .my 54 GPR is the slow twist and shoots similar.i had a 1-66 GM on a TC hawken for a bit and it grouped similar

    TC patriot 45 Good/Bad?

    I shoot a couple Lyman Plains pistols(.50 and .54) and a 45 old army.Is the patriot worth the money they ask for them? I see 300-450 these days.Do they shoot really well or just like any other single shot.

    I have a pair of cap locks in .50 into 54. As well as matching plains pistols. They are absolutely wonderful rifles. In fact my 50 is a 1-32 fast twist and shoots patched roundball just as well as my 54 slow twist??

    Northstar west marking?

    Got one from an estste.it's a chiefs grade .62.Barrel marked towards the breech " N*W. ". I was told there guns were never marked this way.
