    Issues with new Pietta.

I blended the cam in a tiny amount and problem solved. I truly appreciate the help.

    Issues with new Pietta.

I am thinking that 45D is correct. When I slowly lower the hammer, I can feel it rub about where it feels like the bolt ears would engage the cam. What would be the fix? I appreciate the responses.

    Issues with new Pietta.

I just wanted to add that I have disassembled and checked for burrs.

    Issues with new Pietta.

I have a brand new Colt Navy Pietta with an issue I can't diagnose. If the hammer is eased down from full cock on a nipple it will catch on something as it is being cocked. The hammer barely moves before it catches. If the hammer is lowered again from where it catches it will lock normally...

    First bag from scratch.

A question please Brokenock. Is The trim on the edge of the flap the flap edge turned and sewn or a strip bent and sewn through on both sides of the flap? I used a strip. Their is a wealth of video game info. On the web, but not much on bag making. I just guessed my way through a lot of this...

    First bag from scratch.

Dimarco: That looks great. Might be too late for this bag, but I will keep in mind for the future. Brokennock.. That is most helpful. Thanks for taking the time. I wish I had this info. before I started. But maybe the lessons sink in better this way. I am really enjoying the process...

    First bag from scratch.

That big rectangle just looks unfinished compared to the rest. Maybe extending the stitches all the way to the edge would break things up some. I do appreciate the encouraging words. Does anyone else darken their veg tan in the sun? I hate working with stains.

    First bag from scratch.

It's hard to put my finger on what I don't like aboutnthe attachment. It doesn"t want to lay straight and looks lopsided . I don't know if I attached it in the way it is normally done. I will try to get a pic.

    #11 Caps at Sportsmans Warehouse

I went back to Sportsman's today and there were still probably thirty tins of cci 11 mags there. It was good to see. The same lone traditions powderhorn has been there since they opened back when the second Bush was president, which says something, but I don' t know what .

    First bag from scratch.

I made the patterns and pretty much made it up as I went along. Happy with some things. Not so much with others. Not really pleased with the flap attachment. I only know what I learned from the TC Albert book. Any tips on making the upper flap area look so... Empty I guess is the word. I...

    #11 Caps at Sportsmans Warehouse

I found CCI magnum 11's tonight! I felt like a school girl. We only have a one week primitive season here, and a three month rifle season, so I had low expectations. Glad I checked. Your post made me make the drive. Thanks for that.

I will be waxing the thread after the needles are attached. There is a method for tapering the thread prior to attaching the needles that can't be done with waxed thread.
