    filing thimbles, must be sand cast

    got a hanes kit from dunlap must be sand cast very rough. filing the hex flats on the thimbles no problem , but the very small rings and the bulb between the rings is not working so good. how do you get this filed, the rings are so fine to start with there is nothing left when I touch them...

    barrel lugs

    need to install the lugs on a rice c weight 44 in barrel 54 cal. this is in a totw kit should I use 3 or 4 lugs, kit was sent with 4, 4 would keep me away from the narrow part of the barrel. lug is.040 thick, opinions please. thanks kurt

    need a nipple

    I have no name 32 cal, well built half stock. it needs a nipple, it is 6mm dia with a very coarse thread, looks just like a 1/4-20 thread. have tried every blk powder parts dealer I can think of, Dixie, deer creek , track, ect. what do I have and where to get new one. mics .236 od of thread.

    Just bought a pedersoli 10ga, I live in sc with cotton fields all over the place, has anybody used the cotton balls lubed with your favorite mix over the powder card , under the shot? Might clean and lube bore pretty well. kurt
