Questions for the Pritchett bullet shooters/casters

I have both the NOE .550 and .566 four cavity molds. I paid less than $300 for both of them. I got the clay plug molds with them too. Both work well when made up into British style cartridges. The .566 is a bit more accurate. With the lubed cartridges you can shoot all day with little...

    Pistol for edc?

For everyday carry around the farm for dealing with varmints and other non-dangerous critters- take your pick. If your life depends on it, carry a reliable, modern cartridge arm. It's not 1860.

Regarding defarbing the Parker Hale P-53, Todd Watts can turn it into an awesome representation of the London Armoury, LSA Co, P53 which was a Type IV and shipped to the south.

Seeking True Brown Bess Expert Opinions

Brad, That looks to be a very nice example of a very rare early Brown Bess. I saw the listing from IMA when it first came up for sale and have studied their pictures a couple times as I am in the slow process of building the Rifle Shoppe kit for this model. The moldings around the lock...

    My Hawken

Though I have one myself and like it a lot, I never did understand why TC called them a "Hawken". Always thought it looked closer to a "Dimmick". TC should have gone more the way of Lyman and called it a "Mountain" or "Plains" rifle. I don't know how many times I've run into guys claiming...

    Budget Trade Gun

I have built two of the Sitting Fox guns and they do not use tubing for the barrels. The Tulle I built has a nice octagonal to round barrel with wedding band. Stock was from Pecatonica River and lock was an L & R. Hardware was standard Tulle. All in all it is a nice gun.

I went and did it... I made an order for the Baker rifel

Well Captdan, I placed an ordered for the British 1st Model Long Land Brown Bess kit from TRS in April of 2004. I ordered the version with the assembled lock. They originally told me it would take about 3 months. Christmas time of that year, I got the barrel and most of the metal parts...

    post hawkin here

Paul, Lapeer Michigan is about 20 odd miles north of Pontiac. So it is possible that it is the same person. A lot of people came to Pontiac from the country in the 1920's to work in the auto factories.

    Brown Bess Stock

They are supposedly making their own right now. I was told they used to get them from Bob Lepley.
