    Colerain 50 cal. Loads?

    Same here. I quit the usual law of everything over .45 cal needs 2fg. Been using 3fg in all my .50's with great results and i swear it burns cleaner. Also, to me, it seems to take the flash from the pan quicker than 2fg. I use 4fg in the pan. I swear by White Lightening Touch hole liners...

    I like using Track's "flint flush" every other time for cleaning. Also Jim Chamber's "White Lightning" liner works really well for me, but must be opened up to a #51 or #50 for reliability. No fussing around with picking/cleaning etc.

    Been using water soaked square pillow ticking patches forever in my GRRW .58 fer stand up on yer hind laigs and shoot work;......they work great and no slimy mess. Sperm oil fer hunting (which i don't do much anymore) it always has been plumb center fer me.
