    Ball Bags

It just so happens that I have a HUGE black walnut tree in my backyard that my wife wont let me cut down to make gun stocks from (long story)The nuts have not formed yet but when they do I would be more than happy to ship some (all) of them to someone for actual shipping charges. We just pile...

No need to worry about pictures of dead animals in this post.

Me and my buddy drew 100m tags and headed over to try and drop something this past week and got skunked. Not literally thankfully but in the sense that the only meat we came home with was bratwurst. So before he beats me to it let me tell you about the deer I missed. The first one was off the...

    We drew!!

A big thanks to Stump58 for letting me in on his 100M draw this year! We drew tags and with any luck me and my Renegade are gonna dump us a deer. I am lookin for a two or three year old doe to occupy my freezer and am already breakin out recipes for some winter eats. Now if I can just...

Man I hate it when I have a good group going and throw a flyer into left field on one shot!!

    Accuracy question

So... What kind of sanbagged in accuracy are you guys seeing at 50, 100 and 200 yards? My buddy Stump seems to think my rifle is some sort of freakish alien rig :rotf: :bull: Are you using round ball, sabot or conical and what kind of rig are you makin smoke with? I kind of think I need to...

    Im starting to hate Flash!!!

    Im starting to hate Flash!!!

:bull: Well ... thanks for the praise but my average hundred yard group for Thursday was an inch and a half and one inch at fifty. My two hundred groups opened up to three and a half inches.Gotta love that GM barrel. Now if only my cleaning tube will stop popping the bottom off and flooding my...

    Which to buy????

As for equipment, just head out to sportsmans warehouse and pick up a starter kit or just go shooting with some one and see what they use. Speaking to the rifle selection ... I am far from being an expert here so this is just my opinion. I dont much care for the fit and finish of the Lyman...

    Need to help a pal

Drat! SO much for my spare T/C rear sights, they use two tapped holes .852" apart. Thanks for the info guys. Clifford.

    Need to help a pal

That solves the front sight question but how about the hole spacing for the rear? I have a spare set of T/C target sights I was thinking of letting him use to see if he likes them. Will they fit?

    Need to help a pal

He has buckhorns too but hates them. I just took the sights off the round ball barrel that came with my Renegade and will use those instead of fibre optics

    Need to help a pal

Is that measurement the height of the front sight or the width of the actual dovetail?
  17. M

    Need to help a pal

SO. I am sometimes a dumbass  I told my pal that fibre optic sights are legal in Oregon for deer. Yea. So Stump has a Lyman plains rifle in 54 and hates the buck horn sights that came on the rifle. So on my advice he ordered a set of fibre optic sights like the ones that came on my...

    Got a problem

I can cap my renegade at half cock with the stock nipple but with one of the vented (hotshot) nipples that are taller I have to cap at full cock. I dont much care for it but whats a guy to do in that situation? I just make darn sure the muzzle is in a good loacation relative to myself and others...

Yea that same genius stated that the civil war ended at Appomattox in March but General Watie didnt surrender his army until June as I recall. But as all us rebel scum know the war never ended, we are just regrouping :haha:  :haha:
