Description: SOLD PENDING FUNDS on another board.

I bought this rifle back in April and have not yet fired it myself. I then picked up another this weekend that is not as nice and have decided to sell this nicer one.

These Parker-Hale percussion rifles were made originally in the 1970's by Parker-Hale in England and have a reputation as great shooters. .577 caliber recreation of original Enfield rifles. This model is the 1859 "Navy" short rifle I believe (2-band, brass furniture). These were later assembled in Italy with English-made barrels, but this is an early fully British rifle.

The metal work is great...nearly new even. The butt stock has just a couple of small blemishes seen on the right side in the pics. Bore is excellent. The person who sold it to me in April claimed to be the original owner and shot it only a couple of times. $775 shipped to the lower 48 States.

Note that the Pedersoli version of this rifle sells for around $1000 but most shooters consider the P-H to be a superior rifle.

Please ask if you have any questions. This will be posted on other forums and may be moved to Gunbroker in a few days. All Federal, State and Local laws apply. Black powder muzzleloaders are generally considered "non guns" and may be shipped to adults in the US freely. Some States may require transfer through a dealer, however, and it is up to you to know your laws before buying. First time stamped, clear declaration of "I'll take it" will be the buyer.

The above pics were provided by the person I purchased from but do a great job showing off the rifle, I think. Please let me know if you would like any other details or pictures. Ask any questions. Thanks!
