Description: Up for sale is a custom built "committee of safety" type musket, these were commonly seen up and down the colonies (especially in New England and Massachusetts) prior to the outbreak of war with England. It is styled after a long land pattern brown bess, the musket is a 75 caliber with a 46" barrell. The stock is beautiful and in good condition, finished with brass furniture, as typical of those early pre-war civilian made guns it takes from several influences with a dutch buttplate, french trigger guard and a large flat faced lock, these guns were made during the period using what resources were on hand, and this gun mimics that. It was made by Robert Vanlier from Virginia and comes with a custom fitting bayonet as well. Super unique musket, which looks great on the wall, accurate on the range and good for reenacting.

Please contact me if you are interested, this musket is awesome, its big, its well made, just all around great. Only selling to fund another purchase.
