Description: Fine condition J. Russell & Co. table knife dating to the 1850's and earlier.
The blade measures 5 1/4" and the handle is 4" long. the whole knife is silver plated.
There is nothing really apparent with this common knife, until I picked it up and barely bumping it on the table it came from, with a resounding ring of good steel.
After sharpening it held a fierce edge, What a GREAT PATCH KNIFE. Period correct and a great accessory.
I will sell as is or trimmed to patch knife length. You can't buy anything of value cheaper.
And it is only here because of the good edge it has. Mailing is on you.
I only have eleven knives left. I'm doing this as a service.
