    Just got given a 16lb downrigger weight, pretty sure it is pure lead, keep me busy for a while, toughest part is cutting it into smaller pieces to fit my smelter.

    Finally got the bits needed to shoot my cheap Spanish reproduction. Took it down the range today for the first time. Using Hornady .440 balls, 60g of 3f Goex, with wonderlube patches, I could only get patches for 50 cal, but I assume they are OK, but I still trimmed down the diameter a bit. At...

    After all the great advice from everyone, I went with a rub down, linseed oil and bees wax, and hung it on the wall, I will shoot it after I obtain the bits and pieces required, patches, ball etc. Thanks again everyone
