    Double barrel shotgun

The barrels actually say laminated steel although I always thought that was the same as damascus but could be wrong

I did not know that. Now I do.

    Double barrel shotgun

I ran my bore scope down before shooting and was actually surprised how good it looked. I've seen plenty of older smokeless single shot shotguns severely pitted.

    Double barrel shotgun

They are tight everywhere else and do ring. It's only at the breeches they're like that. I never considered being able to remove the breech plugs. This is the first sxs I've owned. So since they're English barrels does it need metric thread nipples?

    Double barrel shotgun

I never thought about that. I'm fairly certain you may be correct. The barrels are only like that at the breech. Everything else looks great and is tight.

    Double barrel shotgun

I shot it with 50 grains of blackpowder and 50 grams of lead shot. It shot good. The last 2 photos you can see a gap in the barrel that worries me. Is that normal or does it need to be filled in with solder?

    Pedersoli 1777 Charleville

Picked up a 1777 Pedersoli Charleville. Anyone have some load data and recommended ball size or any other info I should know? Only thing I don't like is the front nose piece is kind of loose.

    1777 Charleville

It looks exactly like the top one. It does say a 19 something date on it like that

    1777 Charleville

I'm buying a 1777 Charleville tomorrow. The guys says it's a Pedersoli. I did not see anywhere where it said a maker. Doesn't Pedersoli normally stamp their barrels?
