    What load for a 50 cal GPR flinter ?

    Fella's,thanks for all the good info.I think i'll start out with 60gr and start from there.I put a new/better touch hole liner in the barrel and also put an extra pice of leather under the flint,so the flint will strike the frizzen higher.I will let you all know how she shoots.     I'm going to take out my new 50.cal lyman GPR,it's a flinter.What is a good starting load for it. I will shoot .490 round ball with fff goex.This is my first flintlock rifle,been shooting caplocks for 25 yrs.I think i'm going to like this. Thanks,murf :hatsoff:

    can I shoot round ball out of a 20ga pedersoli double shotgun

    Thinking of buying a cabelas pedersoli 20ga double black powder shotgun.Can I shoot round ball out of it.it has a fixed improved cylinder and a fixed modified choke barrel.I would shoot 62.cal round ball the eqivelent to 20ga.As you can tell i'm new to the BP shotgun game. Thanks,murf :bow:
