    Chestnut?

Contact the American Chestnut Foundation. They, along with several state universities, are working on developing a blight resistant chestnut with the goal of restoring the American Chestnut to its former position as the predominant tree of the eastern forests. Look up their website. They have a...

What mistakes have you noticed in movies/tv shows that happen in the BP era like Daniel Boone, Patriot etc?

Marshal Dillon can get shot almost anywhere, recover in just a few minutes, and then get the upper hand on the bad guys.

    CVA Plainsman

I have a Plainsman that also had the button broken off. I got it in a trade and shot it several times before I knew the button was gone. I found out it was broken when I took it apart to clean it. My solution was to turn a little piece of mild steel to the right diameter to fit in the button...

TC barrel windage out by 20 MOA

Looks like the bore itself is not that far off. The chamfer at the end is what is off center. If you have calipers or a micrometer try measuring down inside the barrel past the chamfer. The difference from side to side in where that chamfer starts may be a lot of the problem.

    stripped out screw hole

I fixed a stripped screw hole in a guitar once with a weed stem. Find one close to the hole size and glue it in. They’re already hollow, and are pretty tough. Worked fine.
