    When Do You Use Your Vent Pick?

    Having missed a dear due to a clogged touchhole and a fizzle in the pan, I now use a vent pick before priming on every shot - even at the range. During a hunt, I re-prime use a vent pick about every 1/2 hour or so - just in case.

    My 94 year-old good friend and mentor here in Louisiana gave me his old muzzleloading shooting bag a few years ago. I was looking in it again and found this can of Goex Powder from the Moosic, PA Plant for $6.95! So this was purchased before Goex had moved to Louisiana. History in my hand.

    NMLRA members

    I have been for over 20 years. Helps our club, we have hosted Territorials etc. Muzzle Blast is one of the only mags I probably read every article in. And, you can order cool targets as well.
