    I have 2 12ga New Englanders. One with screw in choke 27 5/8 in from muzzle to back of breech plug and 28 in rod. The other no choke 28 5/8 in with 29 in rod. my choke tube is a TC modified. found out it is interchangeable with Mossberg 500 chokes.

    I bought same new kit at local Ayr Way store when they were clearing them out to become Target store paid $79 ? in the late 80's. when I eventually got around to assembling it had a warp at wrist / tang but got it together, browned all the steel and and called CVA for turkey loading advice ...

    T/C New Englander choke mystery

    I bought 12ga TC New Englander with TC marked Mod. choke tube and found that my Mossberg 500 tubes were exact fit. We had a gun smith shooting with us who was threading even double barrels for chokes but don't know which chokes. also think THBaily right.
