    Homemade cleaning Patches

I get patch material from International Military Antiques. It comes in rolls, and you cut off what you need. The cloth is flannel textured and very absorbent. I forgot what I paid for it, but the cost is low. The British Army uses it, so you know it works.

    Source for Shot?

Right. I had trouble finding shot because of democrats and chinese. However, Roto metals had it, and Roto is located in California of all places. I met the mail lady and carried the bag to my house like a good guy. Another time I found my mailbox straining under 20 pounds of pure lead ingots.

    Armadillo

I had a rabbit hunting friend in the Naval Reserve. He told me this joke: Why did the possum cross the road? To show the armadillo that it CAN be done.

    Stock from scratch?

If the original stock fits the parts well, you have a model from which to work. The last inches on a full stock are usually straight and should be easy to do. Get a piece of rather straight grain wood for your first attempt. A set of bench chisels, gouges and rasps should handle the task. Use...

    Help! with cleaning my musket

About cleaning patches: I use Original British 4 x 2 Military Issue Cleaning Material- 45 Meters. I am not paid to recommend this product. It is all I use for all my guns. It is like a flannel shirt on a roll, and you just cut off what you need. Both sides are the same, very absorbent. The...
