    it may be that the sear is catching on the flat rear edge of the fly when the set trigger is used. It may need filing or a new fly before it damages the nose of the sear. I hope you find the problem and is an easy fix.

    I have a rifle with a Chet Sholtz flintlock on it. Does anyone familiar with this lock know what size flint works best in this lock? I need to order some and don't want the wrong size. Thanks.

    Bullet trap/backstop

    4or 5 plastic empty water softener bags stacked between the target face and the sand or other filler in a 2x2 ft. Box makes a good self healing barrier and prevents leaking for me for a year or more of weekly shooting in my experience.
