Description: Removing the barrel and lock was a real eye opener. So little wood was left in the construction of this rifle that I wondered how they lasted so long long under heavy use. Also the cheek piece was much less pronounced than any replica I have seen. Lock was marked G Goulcher which supports the idea the Hawken shop used other maker's locks that were available at the time.
