Well I'm getting my November birthday and Christmas present early. The nice lady at TVM contacted me and said my full payment was due and they were starting production on my rifle.
Basic S.Mountain .50 cal. flintlock, dark stock, aged metal furniture. Should look like the one on their website. Placed order in March, they said about 7 to 8 month wait and they were spot on. I have Dutch Schoultz's book, and have been shopping at TOTW for months. I think I have everything I need, (Not Want), to rejoin the blackside. I know this post is useless without pics, but I will post some when TVM sends the ones of my finished rifle. Thanks to all for the great information I have received here, this is a great forum.

Congrats on the rifle. I got a TVM Late Lancaster as a retirement gift from my lovely wife. Yes to the reading this forum, to orders from TOTW, etc. Then there was constant checking of the tracking website once it shipped and haunting the front door on the day it was due for delivery. I was worse than a five year old on Christmas.

Assume a good half hour to uncrate the rifle once it arrives. TVM packages their guns REALLY well.

I too have a TVM Late Lancaster. Very happy with it. IMO, good quality firearms, good price and great people to work with.

Hope you enjoy your new S. Mtn rifle. :hatsoff:

Congrats! I got my TVM rifle about a year ago and after being told it would be a year long wait, it only took 10 months so I actually got it before my birthday, which is when I planned on it arriving. I'm very pleased with mine and I'm sure you will be with yours. Please post pics as soon as you can.

I received my Southern.
I am considering selling it.
Just unpacked it and stored it.
Southern with browned steel, red stain on ++grade wood. Swamped bbl in 50 cal.

It's been many years since I received my SMR from TVM. It's still my most used rifle and is plenty accurate and handy. It's .36 X 3/4" X 38" and weighs about as much as your BB gun. You will truly enjoy those TVMs.
