Been many a year since my last rendezvous but I'm looking forward to and ready for the Eastern Primitive Rendezvous. My camp and gear are simple. A simple leanto for shelter, smooth bore musket, and no more than the necessary gear to be comfy and enjoy a primitive camp as it should be.
Although it's been years since my last vous, life is finally allowing time to reunite and enjoy the events and lifestyle Ive enjoyed in the past.
WOOOO,HOODOO, RENDEZVOUS!!!

Glad to see that you're back in action.

Where's that camp at this year? Always thought about going to one but never have.

I'm going to some Ohio events this fall that you're welcome to come check out. Just PM me.

It's in Slippery Rock PA this year. From what I have seen the event location looks awesome.

It's east of Youngstown, Ohio & north of Pittsburg, PA. I will be attending for the 3rd time no matter how much I have complained about Jake Brakes... The site is actually an RV camp grounds that's right off I-74. You can see the interstate in some parts of the camp and hear it in every part of the camp. If you are looking for a nice quiet primitive camp, go some place else. As far as the site, it has a lake right square in the middle of the camp. No swimming but fishing is allowed along with boating & canoeing. No motors allowed for the obvious reasons. It does try to be a primitive site but the street lights & truck noise just can't be hidden. 318 miles for me or about 5 1/2 hours.

Between storms and life, manure keeps gettin in the way. Anybody have any word on next years locale? It seems like it is always a big secret until after the current year's 'vous. Some of us need to plan such things over a year in advance.

2019 eastern is in pa. sugar loaf? up near erie .. heard its a nice place no big highways to listen to..good draining soil..should be good.. this years was jus the dang highway an jake brakes..but good vous! ill update soons i know town name fer sure..

well, I knowed it was Sugar somethin an in Pa.! lol thanks keb! I'll be there...be in Pawlett Vermont fer 2019's NorthEastern too in July!

I'm planning going to both, too, if all goes well between now & then. I'm hearing the 2019 EPR is a very primitive site as opposed to 2018. No traffic noises, no view of an interstate anywhere in camp, no modern toilets, no showers, no bright lights, no vending machines, no paved roads, no electric hook-ups, etc... Not that I'm complaining about all those modern convenience things at Cooper's Lake but I am. It's called the Eastern PRIMITIVE Rendezvous. The only primitive I could see there was there was no roof over the whole place. I could go on but you all might get the idea I'm a complainer...

I wasn't crazy about the site myself mostly the noise.. but it has a booshway and staff an the ppl voted for it so .. that said.. it was a very good event.. lots to do, well organized and fun to attend... next years will site is way quieter an less civilized.. should be a good one... northeastern too..
