A few years ago I had mentioned to an elderly friend of mine that I was looking for a New Englander combo. Last week when I was over visiting he puled out a T/C combo and said that it was mine if I wanted it. Pay me later what you think it's worth. I want to give him a fair price for it. the rifle barrel appears to be unfired, it's a .54. I would say it's in excelent condition. The shotgun barrel has been fired and there is light surface rust on the right side at the stock line. I would say SG barrel is in good condition. the stock has a few dings. Not enough to matter but just to give it character. It has a screw in choke. Does anybody know what chokes fit? I know it's not Remington.

A New Englander rifle in good to excellent condition would go anywhere from $150.00 to $300.00 the 12ga barrel by itself would go about the same. Add them together and ya got about a 4 or 5 hundred dollar outfit.

My opinion & yer welcome to it.

Oh, and it takes the same chokes as Winchester/Mossberg/Savage and about a dozen others.

bubba.50 is right.
If it's the 12ga barrel(?) 400 would be a bargain. Those 12ga barrels are going for 300 alone.

Hi,
The TC New Englander is probably among the best black powder rifles you could buy for hunting, being .54, even better.
I jug chocked a 12 ga. for a neighbor and it was awesome on turkey out to 50 yards.
So with the combination that you have you are well armed for black powder hunting.
You will be the envy of many that see what you have.
One gun for deer and vermin, and one gun for birds and vermin.
What more can you ask for?
Fred

I've always liked the New Englanders. I have Friday off so hopefully I can get some rounds downrange. I have to go to the local fun store and pick up some shot and wads this being my first BP shotgun. My barrel has screw in chokes so I'm taking it in to see what will fit. Grouse is open here as of the 1st. should be interesting working up some good hunting loads in the sg.
